Forum Activity

For each situation, choose a forum that you think would be appropriate for the purpose and audience:

  1. You want to tell freshman students at ISU about ways they can save money on textbooks.
  2. You are fed up with high long-distance charges and want the telephone companies to do something about it.
  3. You have a great idea for a new t.v. show and you want to get a network to consider it.
  4. You are desperately in love with Barry Manilow (or Oprah Winfrey) and you want the entire American public to know.
  5. You want to persuade university professors to give smaller assignments.
  6. You want to inform foreign tourists about how beautiful the city of Detroit is.
  7. You want to inspire people who have cancer by telling them the story of your grandfather who beat the disease.
  8. You want people in Normal to drive slower in school zones.
