So who is Kevin L. Conlin?

I was the Systems and Technology Director for WGLT-FM, Illinois State University's Public Radio Station, before they decided to eliminate me and my position. I served as an announcer, reporter, Assistant News Director and Director of Operations and Production before moving into my current position. I took care of all daily operations of the radio station, including all broadcast equipment, non-broadcast equipment, and am Systems Administrator for WGLT's LAN. Basically, if it broke I got called to fix it, kick-start it, or break the person who broke it in the first place. If you're into Star Trek: TNG, my job was a combination of Data's and Geordi's, with a little Worf thrown in for good measure. In addition, I hosted The Song & Dance Man, a weekly program dedicated to the music of Broadway and Hollywood.

In the rare moments I'm not at work, I enjoy old movies, woodworking, a good bowl of pipe tobacco, fencing and historical recreation. I'm a founding member of Baile na Scolairi, the local branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The SCA is an international educational organization dedicated to the study and selective recreation of the Middle Ages.
