General
Many of the lecture materials including the outlines are provided on the course web-site in .pdf format. You must have an appropriate program running on your computer to open .pdf files.  The most common (and FREE) program is Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files (see below).

Security - Password protected files
Some of the lecture materials available on the course web-site in .pdf format contain copyrighted materials.  To legally post these materials, they have been password protected.  The password is the "Course Number".  For example the password for English 101 would be ENG101.  Note: passwords are caps sensitive.  Permission to use these materials includes the requirement that you be a student or instructor in this course.

Adobe Acrobat Reader
The most common (and FREE) program to view .pdf files is Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files (see below). The reader may be obtained free form Adobe by clicking on this Adobe Acrobat link. Depending upon how you have set up your browser, you will see: the .pdf open in your internet browser, open into a separate Adobe window, or will need to save the .pdf file to disk, then open it with the reader.  You're on your own to set this up.
