Meet or exceed standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines, (ADAAG, 36 CFR 1191) and the Illinois Accessibility Code (71 Illinois Administrative Code 400) for structures and paths of travel.

  1. Action Step 01:  Meet with the existing University Equal Access Committee (EAC) and any appropriate subcommittees to identify any concerns regarding program access, ADA, 504, Illinois Access Codes and other issues that may require modifications to campus buildings or grounds.

  2. Action Step 02:  Compile a list of required upgrades, modifications or improvements called for by the EAC. Prepare cost estimates and preliminary designs as appropriate.

  3. Action Step 03:  Incorporate recommendations for improvements into existing or future capital projects when appropriate.

  4. Action Step 04:  Prioritize the requested modifications and identify possible sources of funding.
