Reconfigure classrooms and offices in Schroeder Hall.

Baseline Information

• Located at the corner of College Avenue and University Street, Schroeder Hall contains 60,119 net assignable square feet which houses 42 classrooms with a total capacity for 2,383 students. Illinois State University received $18.7 million from the state for the overall renovation of the building.

1. Action Step 01:  Complete design development phase drawings.

2. Action Step 02:  Complete review of 50 percent documents, including plans and specifications.

3. Action Step 03:  Complete review of 95 percent documents, including plans and specifications.

4. Action Step 04:  Complete construction documents.

5. Action Step 05:  Establish bid dates for construction.

6. Action Step 06:  Complete renovations in Milner, Ropp and Turner to house Schroeder programs during the renovation.

7. Action Step 07:  Relocate faculty, staff and classes to interim locations.

8. Action Step 08:  Award construction contracts through the Capital Development Board.

9. Action Step 09:  Demolish temporary structure (Faculty Office Building, also known as Butler Hall).

10. Action Step 10:  Complete Utility Work.

11. Action Step 11:  Initiate East Wing construction.

12. Action Step 12:  Complete East Wing construction.

13. Action Step 13:  Move faculty into completed East Schroeder offices.

14. Action Step 14:  Begin West Wing construction.

15. Action Step 15:  Complete West Wing construction, move faculty, offices and classes into permanent location within Schroeder Hall.

16. Action Step 16:  Dedicate renovated building and celebrate project completion.
