Illinois State University is proud to host David McCullough, author on February 15, 2007.

Topic: “Leadership and the History You Don’t Know"

McCullough has been an editor, essayist, teacher, and lecturer, in addition to being an award-winning author.

McCullough’s novels have been praised detailing the individual character and understanding of American life. Among those is his biography of John Adams, one of the most widely read biographies of all time, and his most recent book, 1776, which has been characterized as both brilliant and powerful.

None of his books has ever been out of print.

To signify his work, he has been honored by the National Book Foundation Distinguished Contribution to American Letters Award, the National Humanities Medal, and the New York Public Library's Literary Lion Award, among others.
