One of Illinois State University's missions is to provide all users, including those with disabilities, a functional, accessible, interactive Web experience. To that end, the University's WebPAC committee recently created the Illinois State University Web Sites' Policy (8.2.10), which includes the University's Web Accessibility Statements and a link to the new Guidelines for Web Site Accessibility Requirements (8.2.13). All Universities sites must contain a link to these Web Accessibility Statements on the home page (it is included in the iGuide).
This new policy requires University Web site developers to make their University sites more accessible to individuals with disabilities. Site developers should refer to the Web Accessibility "How To" Checklist (PDF) to learn more about how they can make their University sites accessible to individuals with disabilities.
