Monday - 04/19/99

  • 12:36 A.M.: Normal Police reported a broken window at the Research Services Building. ISU Police found no further damage. No items appeared to be missing. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990394

  • 1:58 A.M.: An officer observed a computer on in the Ropp Building. The officer noticed several pornographic web sites had been accessed. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990395

  • 1:00 P.M.: W/F reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in the Bone Student Center Pay lot. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990396

  • 4:26 P.M.: A/F student reported her parking decal was taken from her vehicle while parked in lot F-24. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990397


    Tuesday - 04/20/99

  • 11:07 A.M.: W/M staff member in Feeney Cafeteria reported a radio and charger were taken from an office. No suspects. Case pending. 990398

  • 6:51 P.M.: W/F student in Atkin Hall reported a threatening phone call. No suspects. Case pending. 990399


    Wednesday - 04/21/99

  • 2:21 A.M.: W/M staff member in Wilkins Hall reported a W/M student was unconscious and vomiting on himself. Normal Fire Dept. arrived and the student was transported to Bromenn Hospital. Cleared exceptionally, referred to SJO. 990400

  • 6:45 P.M.: W/F in Cardinal Court reported her son's bicycle was stolen. Officers confronted the W/M juvenile suspect. The suspect returned the bike to the victim. Cleared exceptionally, referred to Juvenile Court Services. 990401

  • 7:30 P.M.: Normal Police reported a W/M threatening over the telephone a W/F student from Hewett Hall. The male, an ex boyfriend , also threatened to commit suicide. The male was contacted and stated no further contact would be made. Cleared exceptionally, no further action taken. 990432

  • 8:45 P.M.: W/M University High School student reported his wallet was taken from the boy's locker room. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990402

  • 10:48 P.M.: W/M student reported his bicycle was taken by an unknown W/M outside of Schroeder Hall. No further information. Administratively closed. 990408

  • 11:50 P.M.: W/F student reported she was sexually assaulted in Manchester Hall in October, 1998. The victim named a W/M student as a suspect. Case pending. 990403


    Thursday - 04/22/99

  • 7:39 A.M.: W/M staff member at University High School reported an illegally parked school bus. Officers spoke with 2 occupants on the bus. Dispatch advised a W/F on the bus had an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and arrested the female. Cleared by arrest. 990404

  • 9:04 A.M.: W/F staff member at Wallace Book Store reported a B/M sold back a book he took off a shelf in the book store. Case pending. 990405

  • 10:45 A.M.: W/M student reported he was hit in a class on 4/21/99 by another student. Officers arrested a B/M student for battery. Cleared by arrest. 990406

  • 2:30 P.M.: A W/M staff member reported damage to a university vehicle parked in lot M-47. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990413

  • 4:28 P.M.: W/F student reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in lot M-64. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990409

  • 5:07 P.M.: W/M staff member reported a digital camera and several related items were taken from a room in Fell Hall. No suspects. Case pending. 990407

  • 6:07 P.M.: W/F student reported her parking decal was taken from her unsecured vehicle while parked in lot S-67. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990410

  • 11:05 P.M.: B/F reported she was battered by 2 B/F students in Wright Hall. Officers spoke with the suspects and witnesses. Referred to State's Attorneys Office for possible charges and to SJO. 990412


    Friday - 04/23/99

  • 12:11 A.M.: Officers were dispatched to Manchester Hall to investigate the report of a large group of people outside arguing up at residents from their windows. Officers spoke with several intoxicated W/M suspects regarding a bottle thrown from a window towards the crowd below. Referred to S.J.O. Administratively closed. 990411

  • 11:00 A.M.: ISU Affirmative Action Office requested ISUPD's assistance in investigating allegations of a B/M staff member possibly harassing a W/F student at her place of work. Investigation completed. No further action required at this time. Referred to Affirmative Action Office. 990430

  • 12:05 P.M.: B/M staff member in Barton Hall reported 2 W/M students were being disorderly and uncooperative earlier. Cleared exceptionally, referred to S.J.O. 990415

  • 12:15 P.M.: B/M staff member reported a burglary to his vehicle in lot F-72. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990414

  • 2:30 P.M.: B/F student reported her student ID card was lost at a credit card application desk outside of the Alamo II Book Store. Case pending. 990421

  • 4:00 P.M.: Officers located a B/M student at his apartment on Dale Street and arrested him for an active warrant. Cleared by arrest. 990416

  • 4:55 P.M.: B/F staff member in Hamilton Hall reported she confiscated an Illinois Drivers License from a W/M student carrying alcohol into the building. The license belonged to the suspect's older brother. Case pending. 990417

  • 11:10 P.M.: W/M student in Hamilton Hall reported harassing phone calls. The victim stated there was two female suspects. Case pending. 990418


    Saturday - 04/24/99

  • 8:23 A.M.: B/M student in Whitten Hall reported his ex-girlfriend took a ring from his room. Case pending. 990420

  • 9:32 A.M.: An officer observed a vehicle in lot S-67 with damage and contacted the owner. The W/F student stated the damage was new. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990423

  • 0:40 A.M.: W/F staff member in Manchester Hall reported a shower curtain rod was broken in a 17th floor bathroom. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990422

  • 4:48 P.M.: W/M staff member at Shelbourne Apartments reported a broken window on the laundry room door. W/M witness stated a B/M juvenile broke the window. The officer spoke with the mother of the suspect. Cleared exceptionally, referred to ORL. 990424


    Sunday - 04/25/99

  • 12:14 A.M.: Barton Hall staff reported a fight between 2 W/M's. The suspect left the scene before the officers arrived. The victim did not wish to pursue charges. Cleared exceptionally, no further action taken. 990425

  • 6:31 A.M.: A female approached an officer and stated a W/M was passed out in lot F-61. The officer observed a cut on the male's head and dispatched Normal Fire Dept. The male was transported to Bromenn Hospital. A W/M and B/M sleeping in a vehicle stated the male was their friend. Cleared exceptionally, no further action taken. 990426

  • 11:10 A.M.: W/F staff member reported a broken window in the New Science Building. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990427

  • 1:42 P.M.: W/M staff member in Whitten Hall reported graffiti in an elevator. No suspects. Administratively closed. 990428

  • 7:33 P.M.: Normal Police Department reported a W/F received a telephone threat on her answering machine. Two W/M students made the call as a fraternity prank and dialed the wrong number. Cleared exceptionally, referred to SJO and Student Life. 990434
