African American Civil Rights Movement

(I had planned to talk about Native American and Hispanic Civil Rights issues this week, but I've decided that we should spend a bit more time talking about the African American civil rights movement. Many of the issues which Native Americans, Hispanics, and feminists (as well as themes in the Free Speech and Anti-War Movements) later deal with are introduced in this movement. Hopefully spending extra time on this issue will also help you with the Moody essay. This lecture revolves around three phases of the African American civil rights movement.)
